SONG OF THE DAY. “Nella Fantasia” sung by Sarah Brightman (Composition by Ennio Morricone; Lyrics by Chiara Ferraù). Originally, this song was an instrumental arrangement for the film, “The Mission”, but after Sarah’s persistence, then came the vocal version.
This song has touched me upon first listen and I assure it will touch you. Brilliant arrangement, composition, and lyrics. With all of this put together, creates the magic that this song delivers and it has easily become one of my all-time favorites.
ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF LYRICS:
In my imagination I see a fair world,
Everyone lives in peace and in honesty there.
I dream of souls that are always free,
Like the clouds that fly,
Full of humanity in the depths of the soul.
In my imagination I see a bright world,
Even the night is less dark there.
I dream of souls that are always free,
Like clouds that fly.
In my imagination there exists a warm wind,
That breathes on the cities, like a friend.
I dream of souls that are always free,
Like clouds that fly,
Full of humanity in the depths of the soul.
Happy listening!

SONG OF THE DAY: Secret Garden - Sona. It has been a while since I have posted something like this, hasn’t it?
One of my favorites from them. Very nice melody and simplistic. Utilizing traditional Irish/Celtic instruments, this song fuses orchestral elements and vocals modernized with a light rhythm texture giving a nice overall balance of sound.

SONG OF THE DAY: Truly epic and uplifting! ”Manju” is a track from ES Posthumus’ third album, “Makara”, has caught my attention recently with its melodic, cinematic, and explosive goodness. Although most of the album is edgy, it leaves room for some softer tracks bringing in some wonderful variety to the album as a whole. If you haven’t purchased the album “Makara”, I suggest you do.

SONG OF THE DAY: “To Where You Are” by Richard Marx. Sung by Josh Groban in 2002. Why didn’t I discover this sooner?
The more I listen to this, the more I’m convinced this a new favorite of mine and has greatly uplifted me in the past several days.
If you know of someone that needs comfort and uplift, please spread the good music.

SONG OF THE DAY: Sting - Fields of Gold. One of my personal “lost” favorites. I had the Eva Cassidy’s version of this song for years but hadn’t listened to it until recently, which reminded me of Sting’s greatest song. Hope you like it.
Just discovered this. What do you think?

Melody is certainly one of the best out there and one of my personal favorite progressions. I also noticed that the flow of the song resembles Gaia - Tuvan:

Instant favorite not because of the melody, but how the emotion was evoked from it.
